Critical Care Anesthesiologist (Surgical ICU)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Critical Care Anesthesiologist to join our premier Surgical Intensive Care unit. This role offers a unique 50/50 split between high-acuity SICU management and OR anesthesia services, providing the clinical variety often sought by dual-trained specialists. You will be joining a collaborative team of 12 intensivists in a Level 1 Trauma environment.

Clinical Environment & Tech Stack

• EMR System: Epic (IP/ASAP/OpTime) — Note: Proficiency in Epic is highly preferred for this site.

• Support Ratio: 1:1 Dedicated Scribe support during morning ICU rounds; 2:1 Resident/Fellow oversight.

• Unit Profile: 32-bed SICU focusing on post-CABG, trauma, and complex transplant recovery.

• Equipment: On-site TEE, Sonosite X-Porte ultrasound at every bedside, and dedicated Bronchoscopy suites.

Schedule & Lifestyle

• Shift Model: 7-on / 7-off clinical rotation.

• Administrative Time: 4 hours of protected "Blocked Admin Time" provided every Thursday for research or departmental leadership.

• Call Requirement: 1:6 Primary Call (Phone-only from home once evening rounds are complete). No mandatory in-house overnight stays for attending staff.

Compensation & Benefits

• Model: Base Salary + RVU-Based Production Bonus.

• Ownership Track: This is a partnership-track position with eligibility after 24 months of service.

• Student Loan Repayment: PSLF-eligible employer with an additional $20,000 annual private loan repayment stipend.

• CME Allowance: $5,000 annual stipend + 7 paid days for conference travel.

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD/DO) from an accredited institution.

• Board Certification in Anesthesiology and sub-specialty certification in Critical Care Medicine.

• Active Georgia Medical License (or eligibility to obtain).

• Military Transition: We are highly supportive of candidates transitioning from U.S. Navy/Army/Air Forcemedical corps and offer specialized onboarding for veteran clinicians.
